Butcher turns into restaurant: A. Idsøe Berkel & Grill
As mentioned earlier, butcher Idsøe is opening a restaurant in town! The restaurant will be called A.Idsøe - grill & berkel and it will be right next to the butcher shop. Upstairs you will find the workshop for teambuilding, various training (how to make sausages, wine tasting etc) and there are rooms for meetings, private events, and dinners. I look forward to the restaurant opening (in March/April 2023) as I think they have lots of god products to offer. I had the pleasure of going there for a private event and we got a delicious charcuterie tray to start with including the coppa that won a prize in Det Norske Måltid , parma ham, chicken liver pâté , cheese (including 8 year matured Norwegia!), crackling pork skin, pickled cucumber from Brimse Gård and bread from Kanelsnurren. We moved over to a lovely grilled crayfish before getting tender meat with grilled bone marrow, sauce and mash. And at the end of the night – a perfect Crème brûlée with cherry sorbet on the side. Judging by the experience, we have a lot to look forward to when the restaurant opens!
